Release 2.02 Notes (7/30/14)
Matching compatibility updates to accommodate Hangouts implementation changes made to Gmail.

Release 2.01 Notes (6/3/14)
1. When a new audio device is added to a computer, Windows automatically redirects all the system audio to that new device until the user tells it not to do so. Added a courtesy audio device reminder for the latter case and a facility to open the audio control panel to help users set the default system audio devices to their computer speakers and microphone.

2. Default Hangouts call bandwidth setting to "audio only" (35 kbps bandwidth up/down) for incoming/outgoing calls allowing users to manually change it to a video level bandwidth setting from the Hangouts popup browser window and turn on their webcam if they set up a video conference call.

3. Added a requested feature to automatically recover and restart after waking up from a user forced computer sleep, suspend or hibernate condition.

4. Replaced connection announcement on incoming calls with standard ringback tone and a connection beep. Fixed low default microphone/mouthpiece level setting issue identified that was specific to Windows 8.1.

5. Added phone callback style ringing feature for onhook calls initiated from browser.

6. Added feature to focus on Gmail contacts facility when browser is opened.

7. Enhanced incoming call alert window with larger easier to read font size.

8. Fixed problem with *98 voice mail access code not working for some users.

9. Fixed outgoing ring tone being sent to the computer speakers on Windows Vista/7/8 machines instead of the phone handset as intended.

10. Some adjustments made to the PIN dialing implementation. Users may need to experiment with the "Stop VoIP Call Beeps" feature turned on and off to see what settings works best for them for PIN dialing situations.

GVJackApp Release 2.00 (UPGRADE TO USE HANGOUTS) Notes (4/30/14)
GVJackApp2 is an upgrade that utilizes the new Google+ Hangouts facility in Gmail for placing and receiving calls rather than the legacy Google Chat facility that is scheduled to be retired. The main differences worth familiarizing yourself with are as follows:

1. You can sign into the same Gmail account at any other location and from any other device at the same time and it will not interfere with incoming Google+ Hangout calls being received at any of the locations or devices.

2. Google+ Hangouts is based on a video conferencing platform and it does need a little more horsepower than the legacy Google Chat platform. As per Google's listed system requirements for the Google+ Hangouts platform listed here https://support.google.com/plus/answer/1216376?hl=en , the current minimum recommended system specification is a 2Ghz dual core CPU and 1 mbps/1 mbps (up/down) Internet connection. If you don't have enough Internet bandwidth or computer horsepower, the call quality will start to sound a bit "mechanical" or "metallic".

3. The Google+ Hangouts facility does not provide a call hold/resume capability. Despite this limitation, Call Waiting is still offered in GVJackApp2; however, the existing call is ended as soon as an incoming call waiting call is accepted by pressing the flash key on your phone.

4. The Automatic Redial and Per Call Screening features offered in the legacy GVJackApp (Professional Version) could not be replicated using the Google+ Hangouts platform and are not available in GVJackApp2.

5. Voice mail playback access is provided directly by GVJackApp2 as phone network connections to Google's voice mail servers are currently not supported using Google+ Hangouts. It is not clear at this point when and if phone network connections to Google's voice mail servers will be supported using Google+ Hangouts.

6. The Incoming Call Recording and Call Transfer features in Google Voice do not function as they have not yet been integrated with Google+ Hangouts. It is not clear at this point when and if these Google Voice features will be integrated with Google+ Hangouts.

7. Outgoing calls should be placed using your phone and its keypad or by using the Contacts list available in Gmail by clicking on the GVJackApp2 traybar icon. For clarification, call back calls from the Google Voice webpage to "Google Chat/Talk" will not work when the Google+ Hangouts facility is enabled in Gmail.

8. The Google+ Hangouts platform by the nature of the video conferencing design it uses takes a few seconds to make a connection to the incoming caller after a call is answered. A connection tone is played when the connection has been completed. During that time the caller will continue to hear ringing. That is simply how answering incoming calls work based on Google's current design.

9. Google+ Hangouts has its own unique ringback tone that you will hear when placing outgoing calls. That is simply how they designed it to sound.

Release 1.11 Notes (7/30/14)
Matching compatibility updates to accommodate Hangouts implementation changes made to Gmail.

Release 1.09 Notes (11/3/13)
Small change to correspond to minor change made to the Gmail website landing page.

Incremental Release 1.083 Notes (9/8/13)
This past week Google pushed out further new Hangout facility changes that are still not yet on par with the original Google Voice calling features in a given user's Gmail account provided via Google Chat technology. This minor update identifies those accounts and tries to automatically restore the Gmail accounts settings to continue to make use of the original Google Chat technology.

Incremental Release 1.082 Notes (7/11/13)
This past week Google pushed out further new Hangout facility changes that are still not yet on par with the original Google Voice calling features in a given user's Gmail account provided via Google Chat technology. This minor update identifies those accounts and tries to automatically restore the Gmail accounts settings to continue to make use of the original Google Chat technology.

Incremental Release 1.081 Notes (5/26/13)
A couple of users indicated they were not able to place outgoing calls using Release 1.08. We were not able to reproduce the problem but completely reversed the minor changes made to that particular area of code.

Release 1.08 Notes (5/24/13)
This past week Google started pushing out a new Hangout facility that inadvertently disables Google Voice calling in a given user's Gmail account. This update identifies those accounts and tries to automatically restore the Gmail account settings to those required to be able to place and receive phone calls.

Release 1.07 Notes (5/5/13)
The following enhancements and fixes were added:
- Allow private Gmail based domain e-mail address to be used in addition to "gmail.com" e-mail addresses
- Allow the troubleshooting window to open so that logs can be viewed prior to sign in
- Allow 911 and 922 to be added to the Speed Dial table (Professional Version) so that users that choose not to use the optional real E911 service can program in calls to their local Police/Fire department or similar
- Added a reverse number lookup attempt using a public online database for users that choose not to sign up for the optional real CNAM national LIDB database service
- Open the mini dialer and display the call history when the GVJackApp traybar icon is clicked allowing manual calls to easily be placed/returned and the network based call history to be viewed
- On initial product installation default the browser to close to the GVJackApp traybar icon after sign in.
- Fixed a scenario where on some computer setups the browser would not open do to externally caused file access protection restrictions or conflicts on the given computer. This appeared to have been related to Google Drive or Virtual Machine software also being used on the computer
- The microphone volume on Windows Vista/7/8 installations was always 100%. Fixed to match the volume settings in the GVJackApp traybar icon menu

Release 1.06 Notes (1/10/13)
Subtle bug fixed addressing a scenario where an incoming call arrives within 2-3 seconds of an initial outgoing call being answered. In this case, the call waiting call was automatically being connected in error.

Incremental Release 1.053 Notes (11/23/12)
Subtle bug located and fixed in the VoIP Stop Call Beeps feature that only allowed it to deliver 50% of the functionality in the feature design. With the VoIP Stop Call Beeps feature enabled, when speech is misinterpreted by the MJ dongle and reported during a call as a PIN digit (as if it were physically entered on the phone keypad), the PIN digit received was correctly ignored and not transmitted toward the caller BUT the audio path toward the other party was still being muted for about 5 seconds. The latter bug has been fixed.

Incremental Release 1.052 Notes (10/16/12)
Robustness enhancement added to fully validate a license key if the user accidentally inputs an additional space(s) at the end of their license key. Fix added to correct a subtle issue specific to free trial period runs of the GVJack App that stopped it from responding exactly 24 hours after the time the program was started even though the trial period had not expired.

Incremental Release 1.051 Notes (9/30/12)
Added back Flash Player installation removed in Release 1.05. It is no longer required for placing calls but as it turns out is actually required to play voice mail messages online within the browser window.

Release 1.05 Notes (9/24/12)
Removal of automated Flash Player installation no longer required. Compatibility enhancements to match non-backward compatible changes just released in Gmail affecting outgoing calling.

Incremental Release 1.042 Notes (8/24/12)
Minor fix for adding new Speed Dial numbers. Automatic redial feature now defaulted to off at time of initial product installation.

Incremental Release 1.041 Notes (8/17/12)
Forced sign off of any other active sessions of a user's Gmail account upon program start added in Release 1.04 removed. For some users, this good housekeeping change also signed off the current Gmail session something that should not happen.

Release 1.04 Notes (8/16/12)
The following enhancements were added in this release:
1. GVJack App separated into Standard and Professional versions. Existing license holders automatically migrate to Professional version.
2. E911 service available on an optional basis for $1/month.
3. Online caller name reverse look up service for incoming US/Canada calls no longer free and optionally available for $.01 per look up. New service offering uses the national LIDB/CNAM database.
4. Troubleshooting window enhanced to provide detailed troubleshooting steps for common issues.
5. Prohibition of browser plugin extensions to help ensure the best possible call performance and the removal of possible program conflicts. The same for lab plugin extensions.
6. Forced sign off of any other active sessions of a user's Gmail account upon program start.
7. Semi-automatic software update facility introduced that regularly monitors for updates. The user is prompted to approve the installation of the update.

Incremental Release 1.032 Notes (8/6/12)
Fixed bug introduced in Incremental Release 1.031 that caused browser to open on calls when it was closed to the traybar area.

Incremental Release 1.031 Notes (8/3/12)
Small compatibility changes to match hot new Google Voice "Hangout" mass conference calling feature released in Gmail today.

Release 1.03 Notes (6/13/12)
Small compatibility changes to match changes that Google Voice put out today.

Incremental Release 1.022 Notes (6/13/12)
For Windows XP users the earpiece volume was always internally set to maximum. Users could typically compensate for this by turning down the volume on their phone handsets. In case, this has been fixed.

Incremental Release 1.021 Notes (6/8/12)
Minor fix added for users in Germany. As it turns out their service is not called "Gmail" but "Google Mail" instead.

Release 1.02 Notes (5/7/12)
The following enhancements and fixes were added in this release:
1. Improved Features Dashboard layout including list of feature dialing codes.
2. Enhancements to try to automatically set up incoming phone service once a user has signed up for an incoming phone number.

Release 2.02 Notes (12/02/10)
Enhancements to support magicTalk number speed dialing, screening & caller id number/name display AND to allow direct pass through of the caller name if available from the MJ network. So far the latter has only been reported in Canada.

Release 2.01 Notes (9/02/10)
Magicfeatures Release 2.01 MUST be installed on an Administrator account and MUST be added to any and all Firewall/Antivirus applications as a program exception with full privileges. For the latter, wherever you have the magicJack.exe program included you ALSO need to include the MagicfeaturesPlugin.exe program.

Magicfeatures Release 2.01 includes the following enhancements targeted at allowing users with Firewall/Antivirus program blocking issues to still use almost all the features available as follows:

1. After initial installation and offhook, the user is manually prompted to enter their 10 digit MJ phone number in the Call Forwarding Assistant area of the Features Dashboard. Call forwarding enable/disable is fully functional for users with Firewall/Antivirus software blocking issues.

2. Allows users who have Firewall/Antivirus software causing blocking troubles for Magicfeatures Release 2 to be able to use all outgoing call features and activations codes including 7 digit dialing. For the latter class of users, dialing support is limited to phone keypad dialing.

3. Allows users who have Firewall/Antivirus software causing blocking troubles for the Magicfeatures Release 2 to be able to use all incoming features except for any and all call waiting caller id related features. The option to cancel or disable call waiting is however still available.

If Firewall/Antivirus blocking is present, the Magicfeatures icon will turn RED in color when a call waiting call arrives. A small warning window also opens in the lower right hand portion of the screen indicating that call waiting caller id features are limited. It will temporarily remain open until the call waiting caller hangs up or the call waiting call is answered.

4. On exiting Magicfeatures, it will automatically restart the magicJack application just before closing to ensure proper cleanup of both applications.

Release 2.00 Notes (8/28/10)
If you have picked up the latest magicJack "Lucky You" upgrade (on or around August 20th) you will find that magicJack has done a major redesign of the magicJack dialer and their website administration interface.

To continue using Magicfeatures with magicJack's brand new dialer and website administration interface, you will need to upgrade to Magicfeatures Release 2.00. The upgrade is being provided for free to existing customers.

This release also contains the following fixes and modifications:

- Ability to use your phone and also dial from the dialer instead of just being able to dial using the phone keypad. This includes speed dialing and feature activation codes.

- Incoming priority call waiting calls have a "(P)" prefixed to the caller's name on the phone display. Call waiting tone is the standard product call waiting tone for both priority and regular incoming calls.

- Remove leading space/blank in the caller's name on the phone display.

- Provide dialtone for outgoing calls placed after an incoming call goes unanswered. Without Magicfeatures, dialtone is currently missing on the basic magicJack offering.

Release 1.11 Notes (7/17/10)

1. This release specifically contains compatibility enhancements for the new 4th generation magicJack USB dongle now on store shelves.

Release 1.10 Notes (4/27/10)

1. This release contains the following minor modifications and enhancements:

- Added an option to the call recording feature to allow all incoming and outgoing calls to automatically be recorded. When the option is enabled a 3 beep feature activation tone will be heard (ONLY BY THE MAGICJACK USER after all the digits have been dialed and when a call is answered) as a confirmation that the feature is active on the call.

- Added an automatic online database lookup using the caller's 6 digit NPA/NXX to lookup both the City and State for the default caller name display. If the NPA/NXX cannot be located (or the online database lookup times out), an offline lookup will be done using caller's 3 digit NPA and the codes.ini file.

- Minimized the length of the burst of dialtone heard when placing Speed Dial and 7 Digit Local Area calls heard while the ultimate destination is re-dialed.

Release 1.09 Notes (4/1/10)

1. This release contains the following fixes and minor modifications:

- Fixes the Automated Extension Dialing feature that was broken by some improvements to the Speed Dialing feature in Release 1.08.

- Removed the "Area:" prefix used on the Caller ID name display.

- Do not overwrite the "codes.ini" file that contains the area code and country code listings used for the default caller name display if the file already exists. This is to allow customers to safely add custom entries to the "codes.ini" if they choose to do so without the concern that the file will later be overwritten.

- The "Help" window is now implemented as a simple HTML format help page that displays in the user's default web browser.

Release 1.08 Notes (3/18/10)

1. This release contains the following existing feature enhancements:

- Do Not Disturb Phone Keypad Enable/Disable (Dial 78/79)

- Anonymous Call Block Phone Keypad Enable/Disable (Dial 77/87)

- Priority Calls Only Phone Keypad Enable/Disable (Dial 64/84)

- Call Recording Beep Tone Enable/Disable

2. The following enhancements were made:

- When a speed dial call is placed and the phone number is not correctly entered in the speed dial table, a busy tone is sent to the user and an error message is displayed.
- Stop the very short burst of initial ring that was getting through on blocked calls when the blocked call chime was disabled as found on thin client setups.
- Act on feature activation codes (i.e. 72/73 call forwarding) even if the user does not wait and hangs up before the 3 beep feature confirmation tones are delivered.

Release 1.07 Notes (2/23/10)

1. This release contains the following NEW features:

- Call Forwarding Enable/Disable (Dial 72/73)

- Call Waiting Per Call Disable (Dial 70)

- Call Location On Demand (Dial **5)

- Call Waiting Feature Enable/Disable

- Blocked Call Chime Feature Enable/Disable

- Horizontal Window Scrolling for Thin Clients

2. The following fixes were addressed:

- Fixed Anonymous Call Blocking broken in the last release.
- Send the caller id after the 1st ring (instead of the 2nd ring) for Priority Ringing.
- Call Forwarding Assistant password save function.
- Compatibility changes for magicJack dialer version dated 2/18/2010.
- Fixed the state Missouri in the codes.ini list broken in the last release.
- Enhanced codes.ini file to allow users to add their own entries up to 10 digits long (i.e. company directory, NXX city codes, private entries outside the speed dial table, etc...). Entries should be added under the [AreaCode] heading in the same basic form (i.e. xxxxxxxxxxxx = text where xxxxxxxxxxxx is a number from 3 to 10 digits long). They do not need to be sorted in any particular order to work.
- Call waiting tones not working when the call waiting caller id feature was disabled.
- Call recording file save bug when certain digits were dialed in a particular sequence.

3. The following fixes were addressed in the 1.071 incremental release:

- Fix call forwarding enable / disable feature to correctly handle 2 (or more) magicJacks on one user account.

4. The following fixes were addressed in the 1.072 incremental release:

- The new corrected "codes.ini" file that includes the corrections for Missouri was accidentally not picked up in the previous 1.07 builds.

5. The following fixes were addressed in the 1.073 incremental release:

- The fix made in 1.071 did not work if Internet Explorer was used as the web browser. A minor adjustment was made to sort this issue.

Release 1.06 Notes (1/17/10)

1. This release contains the following NEW features:

- Talking Caller ID
The caller id is announced via your computer speakers after the 1st ring. To change or adjust the voice used for the talking caller id, go to Control Panel/Speech (Recognition).

- Last Number Redial (Dial 66)
Re-dials the last number you called.

- Priority Call Waiting
If the number of the person trying to call you is found in the Priority Call table, 2 call waiting beep tone are transmitted every 10 seconds. For all other calls, a single call waiting beep is transmitted.

- Automated Extension Number / Phone Card Dialing
Comma pauses are supported in the phone number entry in the Speed Dial table. Every comma equates to a 3 second pause. For example the phone number entry 2025551212,4 will automatically dial extension 4 after a 3 second pause. Multiple comma pauses and the transmission of * and # are also supported.

2. The feature dashboard was enhanced to scroll on screens with resolutions as low as 800 x 600.

3. The call recording warning "beep" was significantly lowered in volume as it was determined there was no legal justification to keep it as loud as it was in the last release.

4. Google is now used as the online source for the reverse caller id number lookups.

5. In the case of reverse caller id number lookup failure, the area code lookups were enhanced to spell out the full name of the state instead of using an abbreviation of the state.

6. Fixed a bug in the password "save" option added to the Call Forwarding Assistant in the last release.

7. Re-test and ensure the concurrent running compatibility of the following plugin releases on Windows XP, Vista and 7: XlitejackPlugin Release 1.02, SkyjackPlugin Release 1.04 and MagicfeaturesPlugin Release 1.06.

Release 1.05 Notes (1/1/10)

1. This release includes a number of fixes as listed below. As a result of some of the fixes, it is likely that the Registration Window will pop open after you install this release. If you have already registered just press the "OK" button to proceed.

For clarification, the Magicfeatures Plugin Installation Location is as follows. The entire application and all user data is contained in one single folder. The entire folder is portable and may be copied to and run from a USB flash drive (including the USB flash drive that is built into your magicJack USB dongle).

<Windows XP>
c:\Documents and Settings\yourcomputername\Local Settings\Application Data\Magicfeatures\

<Windows Vista/7>
c:\Users\yourcomputername\AppData\Local\Magicfeatures\

2. Removed the inband audio ringing tone the magicJack dialer sends down the phone line that was still causing caller id transmission issues.

3. Real time performance enhancement to digit dialing focused on less powerful computers and customers using more than one plugin.

4. Real time overheads reduced to near zero during calls.

5. Fixed issues related to Microsoft's file path virtualization that were affecting Windows Vista/7 users and users that were using virtual machine (VM) setups. Some of the issues noted were user data not appearing when you re-opened the Feature Dashboard and not being able to view Call Recordings.

WINDOWS VISTA/7 USERS - PLEASE READ: This is only relevant if your Speed Dial numbers do not appear after installing this release. Do to Microsoft's file path virtualization features (not worked around in previous plugin releases), it is possible that your user data may have automatically been moved by Windows to the folder "c:\Users\yourcomputername\AppData\Local\VirtualStore". The user data file is named MagicfeaturesPlugin$Axxxxxxxxxxx. You can restore your user data by moving this file to the correct installation folder location "c:\Users\yourcomputername\AppData\Local\Magicfeatures\"

6. Enhanced log recording for improved troubleshooting and problem resolution.

7. Fixes for the problems we were able to reproduce with Registration Window re-opening after the product has been registered.

8. A "Save" button was added to the Call Forwarding A'ssistant feature.

Release 1.04 Notes (12/20/09)

1. The "ACCEPT ONLY PRIORITY CALLS" feature was added.

2. Some timing corrections were made to the caller id transmission for incoming calls.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ:
If you still have any challenges with the caller id regularly showing up on your phone, right mouse click on the magicJack icon and make sure the top most menu item reads "SWITCH TO TELEPHONE" and then re-test.

These instructions are ONLY for those people who have consistent challenges with the incoming caller id displaying. For clarification, it is a workaround for the underlying magicJack bug that applies audible ringing to the phone line at the same time it is ringing. The latter does not affect all phones by any means and if your caller id shows up regularly you don't need to use it.

With the latter workaround, your phone will ring. You will hear audible phone ringing on your computer speakers as you normally do in headset mode.

On Windows Vista and Windows 7 machines, you do have the option of turning off the audible ringing that comes out of your computer speakers by selecting "VOLUME/HEADSET" from the magicJack menu and selecting "HEADSET/OTHER" and turning down the speaker volume.

For Windows XP machines turning off the audio ringing that comes out of your speakers isn't possible and you will simply hear phone ringing on your computer speakers as you normally do in headset mode. We will work on a patch for the next release that mutes the speaker audio during the brief period when the caller id is transmitted in support of the workaround.

3. Due to write restrictions imposed in post Windows XP versions (like Windows Vista) by Microsoft and new features like Call Recording On Demand that store file data, it was necessary in this early release to relocate the program installation to a very different location. We don't anticipate having to do this again in the future.

While things like the call recording files could be stored in a different location from the program files, the initial and ongoing design mandate of the plugin is to keep all the files in one file location to ensure the plugin is portable (i.e. you can take the file contents and even put it on your magicJack itself and take it with you).

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ: In this one upgrade instance, if you had user data stored like Speed Dial numbers they have not been erased by the upgrade BUT must be manually moved from the old location to the new location if you want to keep them.

The registration screen will also pop up again for you to register after installing the upgrade. If you have already registered, just press the OK key when the window opens. You do NOT need to re-enter the license key.

The user data file name that needs to manually be moved is Magicfeatures$Axxxxxxxxxxxxxx.ini .

<Old Program and User Data File Location>
c:\Program Files\Magicfeatures\

<New Program and User Data File Location>
{Windows XP}
c:\Documents and Settings\yourcomputername\Local Settings\Application Data\Magicfeatures\

{Windows Vista}
c:\Users\yourcomputername\AppData\Local\Magicfeatures\

4. Reduced the disk space required for call recordings under the "Call Recording On Demand" feature by 3 fold. Calls are now recorded at 16kbps instead of 48kbps as per the previous release.

Release 1.03 Notes

1. The "Call Recording On Demand" feature was added.

2. Some very small timing tweaks were made to the caller id transmission for incoming calls.

Release 1.02 Notes

1. Real Time Online White Pages Lookup was added for Caller ID (Name + Number) features. If the caller's name cannot be located in the White Pages (i.e. mobile phone numbers, private numbers, international numbers, etc...), the caller's location will be displayed if it can be determined.

2. Small fix to the Call Waiting Caller ID feature that was previously not working specifically for the case where the first call was placed in the outgoing direction.

Release 1.01 Notes

1. The Call Waiting Caller ID feature was internally defaulted to "off" on clean installations. It should have been defaulted to "on" as shown in the Features Dashboard. This has been fixed.

2. On Windows Vista (and not on Windows XP), the ringing cadences for Priority Ringing and Double Ringing were found to not be working correctly. This has been fixed.

3. The initial short ring was found to be too short to trigger the ringer on some cordless phone models. The initial short ring was increased slightly.

4. The call return feature did not work correctly when the Call Waiting Caller ID feature was disabled. This has been fixed.

Release 1.05 Notes (1/29/10)

1. Changes to ensure compatibility with the new Magicsilence Plugin tool.

Release 1.04 Notes (1/17/10)

1. Fixed a problem causing Registration Window to re-appear after restarts for some users. After initially re-installing this release the Registration Window may pop open but should no longer do so after restarts. If you have already registered, just press the OK button to proceed.

2. Re-test and ensure the concurrent running compatibility of the following plugin releases on Windows XP, Vista and 7: XlitejackPlugin Release 1.02, SkyjackPlugin Release 1.04 and MagicfeaturesPlugin Release 1.06.

Release 1.03 Notes

This release contains performance enhancements and a number of fixes. As a result of some of the fixes, it is likely that the Registration Window will pop open after you install this release. If you have already registered just press the "OK" button to proceed.

VERY IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: The SkyjackPlugin installation location has been moved in Release 1.03. This was necessary in this early release to cope with Microsoft's file virtualization mechanisms and to ensure the plug continues to be fully portable where everything is stored in a single folder for all Windows versions.

In this one very special instance, the user data file SkyjackPlugin$Axxxxxxxxxxx that contains any stored Speed Dial numbers MUST be manually moved from the Programs Folder to the new installation location as follows. After the user data file has been moved, the SkyjackPlugin folder in the old installation location may be deleted.

OLD INSTALLATION LOCATION
"c:\Program Files\SkyjackPlugin"

NEW INSTALLATION LOCATION
<Windows XP>

"c:\Documents and Settings\your computer name\Local Settings\Application Data\SkyjackPlugin"

<Windows Vista/7>
"c:\Users\youcomputername\AppData\Local\SkyjackPlugin"

1. Terminating digit "#" support was added to permit immediate routing of Skype calls (i.e. *18005551212#). Use of the terminating digit at the end of a dialed number "#" is optional.

2. Fixes included to sort the problem causing the Registration Window to continuing to pop-up after registration has been completed.

3. The installation program has been enhanced to automatically install the update without first having to manually close the SkyjackPlugin if it is running at the time of installation.

4. Fixes to work with Microsoft's file virtualization mechanisms were added. These issues primarily affected Windows Vista/7 users and resulted in the Speed Dial numbers sometimes not displaying after a restart.

5. Further real time enhancements were made to the plugin primarily focuses at thin client applications and users that are using more than one plugin at the same time.

6. The logs were further enhanced to improve troubleshooting and problem resolution.

7. An "Initialization" state was added to the traybar little phone icon for better clarity regarding the state of the plugin.

Release 1.02 Notes

1. Real time performance enhancements. These enhancements were added to eliminate performance issues on slower computers specifically when more than 1 plugin is used at the same time.

2. Fixed a problem affecting some users requiring them to re-register each time the program started.

3. All users will see the registration window pop-up at the time of installing Release 1.02. This is in support of fix #2 above. If you have previously registered your license key, you can leave the license key field blank and just press the OK button.

Release 1.01 Notes

1. Support of the original magicJack "legacy" hardware from circa 2007.

2. Out of band DTMF transmission for touch tone dialing menu interaction for use when ATM / Voice Mail / Prepaid Calling Card and similar type calls are made.

3. Refresh SkyjackPlugin icon when magicJack is plugged in and unplugged. This is to help counter a core Microsoft Windows bug that sometimes causes program icons to disappear from the traybar area for no apparent reason.

4. Added a hook to send Skype calls to voice mail / busy when an X-Lite call is already underway when the XlitejackPlugin is being used.
